ARC Oasis is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Geriatric/Psych. We are seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual to oversee the quality of resident and non-resident care within our community and ensure that all employees and services follow all company polices and regulations.
The Nurse Manager will share “on call” responsibility when necessary.
Additional responsibilities for Nurse Manager Geriatric/Psych include:
- planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the day-to-day functions of the facility
- Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care
- Monitor assessments, intake and service plans for residents and non-resident clients
- Communicating with families and friends of residents
- Assuring compliance with all resident and non-resident care related regulations (e.g., medication management, infection control etc.)
- Monitor and maintain documentation and accurate record-keeping, as appropriate
- Demonstrating personal/resident and non-resident safety methods and procedures
- Taking corrective action and disciplining employees in writing, as necessary
- Representing ARC Oasis with pride and knowledge so as to educate outside groups and impact marketing campaigns
- Have the ability to be up and about the facility, while caring for residents or supervising staff.
As Oasis Nurse Manager, the individual must be approachable and professional with staff, residents and family members, must also demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of Oasis standards and practices before assuming position as Nurse Manager with a current license. Must be a Registered nurse, Bachelor’s degree in Nursing a plus. Ability to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation / Basic Life Support (CPR/BLS) and IV application and monitoring a plus. Assisted Living/Home Care, Dementia care, Geriatric care, Psychiatric facility, Hospice setting experience a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a care setting, and at least 2 years as a supervisor
- Salary: N150,000 – N250,000
- Schedule: Full time / 8 hrs. Monday-Friday / Evening and Weekend availability required
